So are there people seriously saying that if the UK leaves the EU, it should continue to be bound by EU law and to enforce it? I'm sorry, but that seems crazy. I mean, suppose that the people who want California to leave the US had their way; would you say that California should still enforce all the laws that were passed by a Republican Congress and signed by Trump or Pence? It sounds like the same issue. If the EU human rights laws are essential, wouldn't it make more sense to call for enactment of those laws in the UK, as UK law?
