Someone's making a pilot for a Preacher TV series.

Back in 2003 I seem to have written the first Preacher fanfic on several sites, so I'm hoping this'll succeed, but somehow I suspect that there will be a few problems.

I heard about this, mostly because of the cast - Dominic Cooper and Ruth Negga. It's on AMC, so it has a higher chance of succeeding I think - the cable channels push the boundaries a bit more.

They'd need to - really can't see the religious side of it going down well with a sizeable chunk of the US audience. Or British, for that matter.

Dominion got renewed (although the first half of the first episode was enough to tell me it was not something I wanted to watch).

Don't know the original, but I see it's got Ruth Negga in it. It wasn't that long ago I saw her as Ophelia in Hamlet at the National Theatre.
