That was a slightly odd Dr. Who xmas episode - it felt like the Xmas part was grafted onto a story which otherwise had sod all to do with Christmas, and was VERY different to the usual sort of Dr. Who plot. I won't say more to avoid spoilers, but they just REALLY redefined what can exist in the Who universe, and I'm not sure it quite worked for me - it had me wondering where one of the protagonists was during every alien invasion etc. since the start of New Who!

It was a strange old thing wasn't it. One assumes we'll be seeing the superhero again? Or... nah, Moffat will just forget he created him.

A couple of my Supergirl stories are Who-verse crossovers, and I'm really stuck on how to make sense of it - everything in Who continuity since 2006 (when Superman Returns is set) should have gone vastly differently with Kryptonians in the mix! I explained some of it by having the universe come back "wrong" after the Tardis explosion thing in 2010, with some of the events of my series retconned when the universe was rebuilt, but I think you have to assume that everything since then has gone very differently with very few alien invasions etc.

I was surprised it was such an obvious rip off of Superman/Lois Lane though. I suppose the nanny part was a nice touch. But a reporter? I don't know. Better than any of the christmas specials of the last few years though.
