...Came from Oxfam's Black Friday sale - a 100-300mm Cosina lens in Canon AF fitting - for £15 plus postage, and I bought three items (the others for selling on eBay) so the postage worked out at a pound or so. It's not an appalling lens, but it's not as good as my Nikon zoom which covers the same range and more so I'll probably end up selling it on. Some test pictures here, very familiar subjects:
My boot fair bargains this weekend were a couple of Pentax lenses, a Pentax-A 50mm f2 and an SMC Takumar 55mm f2, plus an Apple keyboard with the special key tops for the Final Cut photo-editing suite. Total £23, which I think is pretty good.
Update - I've belatedly realised that the white balance of the camera was set for tungsten lighting for some reason, which is why some of the shots look a bit blue. This is why I really ought to RTFM before I play with new toys...
