Something I really should have asked before the Brexit vote - if Europe is so horrible, shouldn't we also be withdrawing from the European Cup, the Eurovision Song Contest, etc. etc.? Come to think of it, will Britain still be part of Eurovision after we leave, and if so what does that do to British TV?

Surely the great majority of even the most rabid Leavers believe that it's the EU that is horrible rather than that it's Europe that is horrible. So I wouldn't expect them to have any problems with the European Cup or with the Eurovision Song Contest.

I would have thought that we would remain part of Eurovision after Brexit. After all, we were a member before we joined the EU. I don't know if Israel is a member but, if not, it doesn't stop them from taking part in the Song Contest. And didn't even Australia have an entry either this year or last, which seems to be stretching the definition of Europe rather far?

I may not be being entirely serious here. Though given the IQ of a lot of those who voted pro-Brexit, a rumour that we would have to pull out of the European cup and Eurovision might have been enough to swing the vote.

I'm fairly sure it doesn't affect Eurovision - we were part of it before we joined the EEC or whatever it was called then!
