Another fanfic rec.

March 6 through March 13

Post to your LJ each day at least one of your favorite fanfic authors and why you love them, their work, and why they need more appreciation.

Since I mostly read BtVS and BtVS/Crossovers my next rec. is someone I encountered as a BtVS author, who also writes in many other genres. Like rozk she's someone who seems to write more sexually explicit fiction than anything else, but can write in many other genres - also like Roz, she's a perfectionist who writes to an extremely high standard and doesn't compromise on quality, or flinch from asking awkward questions about the characters, their motivations, and the underlying assumptions of the Buffyverse and the other fandoms she writes in. Unlike Roz, I've never met her. Step forward jennyo. I don't think she has me on her flist, so I won't worry about embarassing her by singing her praises. Most of her stories are on her web site, and I particularly recommend Recruitment (Angel / Alias), The Lay of Westley of Wyndham (Angel AU), Real, More or Less (BtVS / Deep Space Nine), and With Vampires 'Til Dawn (X-Files / BtVS). There are also plenty of non-crossovers for all of these series and many others.
