Fanfic thingy day 5

FANFIC AUTHORS' APPRECIATION DAY (WEEK / INDETERMINATE PERIOD UNTIL I GET BORED / WHATEVER)

March 6 through March 13

Post to your LJ each day at least one of your favorite fanfic authors and why you love them, their work, and why they need more appreciation.

This time the picks of the day are:

elementalv AKA Tara Keezer, who has a consistently high standard in her (mostly crossover) stories and has accomplished the rare feat of writing BtVS / Anita Blake without making me cringe with embarrassment. Her stories are at http://www.tthfanfic.com/authors.php?no=343 and include the Keys Watcher series, the BtVS / Next Gen crossover Stupid Portal, and many others. Her stories are sometimes sexually explicit, but they're always eminently readable.

dsample alias Don Sample has written one of the most readable BtVS / Harry Potter crossovers, Harry Potter and the Key of Dagon, an excellent BtVS / Stargate crossover, Misunderstandings, and so far as I know the only BtVS / Vorskosigan Saga crossover, With a Star. His stories are at http://www.tthfanfic.com/authors.php?no=720 and http://homepage.mac.com/dsample

nomadicwriter AKA Nomad is best known for the BtVS / West Wing crossover series "Donna the Vampire Slayer", but has written in many other genres, including some excellent non-crossover West Wing stories. Her stories can be found at http://www.cybamall.com/nomadsrealm/index.htm - unfortunately the site has popups etc., but many of the stories can also be found elsewhere.
