Inspired by classic science fiction and giant-robot anime, Jovian Chronicles takes you beyond Earth to a Solar System on the brink of war -- a time of excitement, promise, and danger. Meet a rich cast of characters, employ tons of anime-style weapons and vehicles, visit exotic locales, and possibly alter the destiny of the Jovian Confederation and the human race.
Revived from March 2018, this comprehensive offer features the 1997 Jovian Chronicles Second Edition and most of the support line. We provide each ebook complete in .PDF (Portable Document Format). Like all Bundle of Holding titles, these books have NO DRM (Digital Restrictions Management), and our customers are entitled to move them freely among all their devices.
Ten percent of each purchase (after gateway fees) goes to this offer's pandemic-related charity, Direct Relief. Direct Relief gets protective gear and critical care medications to health workers, with emergency deliveries daily to medical facilities across the US and to regional response agencies across the world.
The total retail value of the titles in this revival is US$133. Customers who pay just US$14.95 get all eight titles in our Starter Collection (retail value $56.50) as DRM-free .PDF ebooks:
- Silhouette CORE Deluxe Edition (retail price $12): The Dream Pod 9 universal rules set that also underpins Heavy Gear (previously presented in our April 2017 Heavy Gear Bundle).
- Jovian Chronicles Player's Handbook 2E (retail $12): This complete 258-page rulebook (1997) details the Solar Nations, organizations like SolaPol and ZONet, the pilots and agents of the Jovian Confederation, and daily life in the planetary settlements and Orbitals.

Last time around I said:
I'm a bit undecided on this one - it looks pretty, especially if you like anime and mecha, and there's a lot of world-building in it, but it belongs to the school of world building that exists largely to give characters reasons to wear combat armour, drive mechas, and blow sh*t up, and I'm not convinced that necessarily goes with the idea of an interplanetary civilization that's capable of colonizing most of the solar system. Opinions differ, of course, and if you like this sort of thing there's definitely a lot here for your money. It isn't really my cup of tea, but I'm recommending it anyway because I know I'm not the intended audience, and I think others will love it. As usual I have to stress that your mileage may vary.
I don't really see any reason to change that.
