Another two RPG bundle offers - Fragged

Two bundles for the RPG Fragged, originally a space setting which has diversified into fantasy and other genres. One is a repeat from 2019, the other all new.

Fragged

Fragged Empire core rulebookThis is the first of two offers in progress featuring the Fragged Empire tactical SFRPG and its many settings. This revived January 2019 Fragged Bundle presents the core rulebook and many sourcebooks and adventures. The all-new companion offer, all-new Fragged Aeternum, adds the 2017 Aeternum setting of gothic horror in an infinite city, along with new supplements and adventures for all the Fragged settings.

Fragged Empire is Australian designer Wade Dyer's game of exploration and rebuilding in a "post-post-apocalyptic" future. In the far future you are a genetically engineered remnant, emerging from genocidal war to reclaim a lost empire. Some worlds have fallen to barbarism; some retain technology so advanced it seems magical. You stand at the dawn of a new civilization, a time of opportunity and danger.

A June 2014 Kickstarter success (with follow-up crowdfunding in 2016, 2017, and up to the present), Fragged Empire spawned the fantasy spinoff Fragged Kingdom, the pirate setting Fragged Seas, and more. All use the same robust, adaptable rules that emphasize unique characters, intuitive tactical combat, and long-term "sandbox" campaigns. The Fragged Empire YouTube channel explains it all.

From an October 2018 "Sell me on Fragged Empire" Reddit thread: "One of the most mechanically rich while still being simple (it's just three dice, right?) combat system that dynamically changes the battlefield and choices you might make based on attribute damage. All of that inside one of the more unique universes with all-new worlds and races that have a wealth of history and tension built in." -- "Well organized and nonlinear character creation lending itself to diverse progression that enriches a character concept and diversity. Abstract advancement system that lets you roleplay almost any situation at both ends of the table. [...] Awesome combat that makes use of terrain and cover."

This bargain-priced revival once again presents everything you need for science fiction, fantasy, and piratical adventure using this flexible and fast-growing system. We provide each ebook complete in .PDF (Portable Document Format). Like all Bundle of Holding titles, these ebooks have NO DRM (Digital Restrictions Management), and our customers are entitled to move them freely among all their devices.

Fragged Empire Diesel-punk MechaThe total retail value of the titles in this revival is US$105.50. Customers who pay just US$14.95 get all four titles in this revived offer's Starter Collection (retail value $55) as DRM-free .PDF ebooks, including the beautiful full-color 385-page Fragged Empire Core Rule Book (plus the free Quick Start Rules and the short adventure Ghost Ship Carthage); Protagonist Archive 1; the full-length introductory adventure Let Sleeping Gods Lie; and the rules expansion Hacked

Those who pay more than this revived offer's threshold (average) price, which is set at $24.95 to start, also get this revival's entire Bonus Collection with four more titles worth an additional $50.50, including Fragged Kingdom and Fragged Seas; Classic Races and Magic (add elves and clerics to your Kingdom); and Fragged: Dieselpunk Mecha because why not.

Fragged Aeternum

Fragged Eternum roleplaying game

Fragged Aeternum, the fourth setting we're presenting for the Fragged rules, is an endless, eternal city of strife and mystery, haunted by unquiet souls of the dead. The Tethered, an order of undying champions, work heroically to ensure the people of Aeternum live long enough to find a way for their souls to ascend. This offer has the complete Aeternum setting book, its scenario Endless Depths, and its location sourcebook Greyburgh Market, along with recent supplements and scenarios for Empire, Kingdom, and Seas.

Rachel Swagger Guide to Mishpacha for the Fragged Empire roleplaying gameThe total retail value of the titles in this offer is US$131.50. Customers who pay just US$14.95 get all five titles in this offer's Starter Collection (retail value $62.50) as DRM-free .PDF ebooks, including the complete Fragged Aeternum setting book (retail price $18); Antagonist Archive 1 for Empire (retail $19); and three Fragged adventures -- Endless Depths (retail $9.50) for Aeternum and Genetic Spectres (retail $8) and Alien Flame (retail $8) for Empire.

Those who pay more than this offer's threshold (average) price, which is set at $34.95 to start, also get this offer's entire Bonus Collection with seven more titles worth an additional $69, including three Fragged location books funded in a June 2019 Kickstarter campaign -- Greyburgh Market (retail price $18) for Aeternum, Rachel Swagger's Guide to Mishpacha (retail $18) for Empire, and Arcane Bay (retail $18) for Kingdom -- plus four Armoury weapon and equipment guides for all the Fragged games: Aeternum (retail $4), Empire (retail $4), Kingdom (retail $4), and Fragged Seas.

When I saw the previous Fragged offer I said "it looks to be well presented, but there is a strong emphasis on combat which may not be to everyone's taste. The first 33 pages of the rules are on the web site, mostly a couple of stories and other information to give a feel for the future setting. As usual with these bundles you seem to be getting a lot for your money, whether you need it is a matter of personal taste." I think that this is still true. I should add that there are some very interesting settings in these bundles - I can't easily think of anything else like Aeternum, for example, so even if you don't like the system it might be worth getting the settings to modify to your preferred game.
