5E Platinum Showcase offer presents third-party supplements for D&D Fifth Edition that have achieved DriveThruRPG's "Platinum" sales rank or higher -- that is, of the tens of thousands of products DriveThru sells, almost all these titles rank in the top 1.44%, not counting titles given away free, sold at cost, or given as crowdfunding rewards. This all-new offer gathers three titles in the Ancestry & Culture series, the Sly Flourish Fantastic Adventures, biopunk sf, horror, and more.
We provide each title complete in .PDF. Like all Bundle of Holding titles, these ebooks have NO DRM (Digital Restrictions Management), and our customers are entitled to move them freely among all their devices. (By publisher request, the DriveThruRPG versions of some of these files are inobtrusively watermarked.)
Ten percent of each purchase (after gateway fees) goes to this offer's pandemic-related charity,Direct Relief. Direct Relief gets protective gear and critical care medications to health workers, with emergency deliveries to medical facilities across the US and to regional response agencies across the world.
The total retail value of the titles in this offer is US$107. Customers who pay just US$9.95 get all five titles in our Starter Collection (retail value $46) as DRM-free ebooks, including the breakthrough character supplement Ancestry & Culture: An Alternative to Race in 5E (Arcanist Press, retail price $10), plus the Ancestry & Culture Pregenerated Characters (retail $3); the biopunk posthuman campaign setting GeneFunk 2090 (CRISPR Monkey Studios, retail $19); 5th Edition Horror (Fat Goblin Games, retail $10); and the Book of Wondrous Magic, a collection of magical items by bestselling designer M.T. Black (retail $4).
Those who pay more than the threshold (average) price, which is set at $24.95 to start, also get our entire Bonus Collection with six more titles worth an additional $61, including Sly Flourish's Fantastic Adventures (retail $15), a scenario collection by the author of The Lazy Dungeon Master (plus its Art of Fantastic Adventures companion, retail $5); Custom Ancestries & Cultures and More Ancestries & Cultures (retail $10 apiece); the GeneFunk 2090 sandbox supplement Shadows of Korea (retail $16); and M.T. Black's Anatomy of Adventure (retail $5).
I don't play D&D any more but there seem to be some useful ideas here - alternatives to the racial stereotyping of D&D, adventures, material from different cultures, and so forth. Assuming that you use the system and haven't already bought a lot of this material this looks like a pretty good deal.
