NTL Nonsense

If you use NTLWorld broadband you ought to be aware that their pricing structure has changed; the main bit is that if you have a 750k connection they probably changed it to 2 megabit at the same price last month. That's good, of course, if you need the speed... but they also offer a 1 megabit service for seven pounds less, and don't make any attempt to tell you about it unless you visit their site. There's a three gigabyte download limit, but I'm not downloading a tenth of that - or at least I don't think I am - and the main limit for most of the sites I visit is their crappy response time, not connection speed. Anyway, I've decided to drop down to one meg for now, see how it goes - if it turns out to be too restrictive I can go back to 2 meg without losing anything, and even 1mb is faster than the speed I was happy with last month.
