My desk, and an eBay bargain

Actually got my room tidied a little, so here's what my desk ought to look like (but rarely does)

The yellow stuff in the bottom right hand corner is spare edging from a plastic mat I just put down under the desk to cover the big hole chair casters have worn in the carpet. What you can't see here are most of the sets of industrial shelving I use as bookshelves, which cover most of the walls - about 100 feet of shelving in all.

In other news I won the datalogging kit I mentioned a few days ago - a Philip Harris datalogger that can run and display the readings from up to four sensors, supplied with two temperature sensors, a revolution sensor, a pressure sensor, and a humidity sensor, case, manuals etc. Also got a separate sound "sensormeter"; basically a noise meter with its own display, that has an interface that can also connect to the datalogger. I was the only bidder, so I got the lot for £14.98 - two items at 99p plus £13 postage! All a bit elderly, they stopped making the datalogger about ten years ago and replaced it with something much crappier, but the sensors are compatible with current dataloggers. In its day this lot would have cost around £600, so I don't begrudge the postage. Feeling rather pleased about this...
